The PAIA Lower Eastern Cherokee Nation SC has participated in the Gray Court/Owings Pioneer Days since 2003. This event took place in Owings until 2009 when it was moved to downtown Gray Court to the Culbertson Back Country Settlement. Our tribal members have walked in the parade and carried the flags since the inception of this event. We have sold our handmade crafts and in the past, we painted faces with Indian designs. This year's date is Saturday, September 10th. Parade started at 10:00 A.M. (See the photos from last year below)To learn more about this event and the historical society who sponsors it, check out the Gray Court/Owings Historical Society at: www.gcohistoricalsociety.org
